Downtown Independence
In Spring of 2009, we were called into a business in downtown Independence, Oregon. The business owner had dozens of claims of activity, as did many other business owners in the same building and connecting buildings. We originally showed up to investigate one business, but left having investigated 3 businesses, as well as the hallways connecting the buildings and businesses. The first night we investigated, we heard constant noises in rooms of the building that sounded like foot steps. We would go into the room we heard the noises and it would stop. It would then start up in another room until we would go in there, and then it would again stop and start up in another room. Almost as if whatever was making the noise was avoiding us. At one point in the night, three investigators were downstairs, and decided to stop in one of the public bathrooms where there was some claims of activity. One of the investigators was provoking and kept asking the entity to move or shut the stall door. It did what it was told, and the stall door slammed shut. Though this was not caught on film, so we can't use it towards evidence. After those investigators came back upstairs and told of what happened, the team went outside for a team meeting. While we were going outside we caught an EVP in one of the rooms saying “They know we're here”. We caught many more EVP's during that night. Some of the clearest and loudest EVP's we have ever caught.
The second time we were called back to this business, two investigators were upstairs 'playing' with a child spirit that was said to be seen. One of the investigators then decided to set an object on the floor and asked the entity to knock it over. The object then fell over. They set it back up and tried to get it to fall over themselves by walking around it and jumping up and down. It wouldn't fall over. This was caught on film, however the footage was lost to us when we sent it up to a former member of the team, and we never got it back. So we can no longer use it as evidence, and it's now just a story. When the investigators were ready to leave the room, they announced that they were leaving and would be back later. At that time, an EVP was caught that sounds like “Hurry Back”. We also caught many more evps that night. In my personal opinion, this building is haunted. Though we don't have any substantial evidence such as video to prove it.

Heceta Head Lighthouse
We scheduled to investigate Heceta Head Lighthouse bed and breakfast earlier in 2009. They claim to have a spirit known as the lady in gray or “Rue”. The story of what happened to Rue varies, but in each story they say that she had lost a baby or young child, and in despair, committed suicide. However, nothing was caught that night. We thoroughly went over all of the audio, video, and photos, and nothing showed up. The only personal experience we had that night was a loud scratching noise that kept showing up in the wireless audio. Although that was quickly debunked, as the cord we were using at the time had come part way unplugged, and was causing the noise. As soon as we fixed the cord, the noise quit. This location has great potential. We hope to schedule for another investigation sometime soon in the off season to do a professional and thorough investigation with a small team.

Colton Residence
We were called to a residence in Colton Oregon this past summer (2009). There were many claims of activity reported, that including an apparition of a little girl seen both in the house, and outside of the house by the river. We proceeded with the investigation as normal. We had DVR cameras covering the entire house, and held many EVP sessions. One personal experience an investigator had was the feeling of being touched on the head, which felt like an electric shock. There was also a time in the back bedroom when the thermometer being held In one spot kept getting colder and colder as we asked the entity/s to come closer. It stayed pretty low for about 10 minutes, and then the temperature went back up to normal. Although, those are just personal experiences, and cannot be used towards evidence. A team of two investigators went outside to investigate the reports of a little girl, and one investigator said that a black mass passed by them near the chicken coup, and that they had the hi8 on that spot at the time. After going over the evidence, we found that it was not captured, so again, it was just a story. After going over all of the evidence gathered from this location, we came up empty handed. Although ghosts/spirits do not come out on command. This place is either not haunted, or the entities did not want to show themselves to us that night.

Stayton Residence
We were called out this past summer (2009) to do an investigation at a residence in Stayton, Oregon. There were claims of apparitions in the dinning room, sounds of furniture moving upstairs, and knocking on the bathroom door. The first time we were there, nothing happened, and we caught no evidence. We were invited back to do a follow up investigation in September. We set up DVR cameras like usual, and headed up to do some EVP sessions. In the first 10 minutes we were upstairs, we caught an evp that sounds like “I can't see you”. Later in the night while provoking, we got an evp that sounds like “lets get it on”. We also got two different responses saying “No” when Lois asked the entity/s to do something. Later, we also caught an evp while nobody was in the house, but we cannot make out what it is saying. During the investigation, we had one investigator in a room by herself upstairs, and another investigator in the entry way on the first floor near the stairs. Both investigators heard a loud crash. When they went to see what the noise was, they found that the DVR camera at the top of the stairs had fallen. They put it back up and made sure it was taped down good and went back to what they were doing before. Again, the camera fell with a loud crash. So a second time they put the camera back up and taped it down. It didn't fall again the rest of the night. Although nothing showed up on the camera other then it falling. Perhaps it was just bad tape?
Towards the end of the investigation, two investigators were in a bedroom downstairs doing an evp session when they started hearing a loud noise. It sounded very much like someone moving furniture upstairs, which was one of the claims. It was caught very loud and clear on the recorder left with the DVR camera. Upon going over the DVR cameras, we learned that a cat was standing up sharpening it's claws in the dining room. That was the noise we heard. The sound of furniture moving was then debunked. We also checked the bathroom door to see if we could debunk the knocking sounds. We discovered that the cats have a litter box in the bathroom, and even the slightest touch to the door sounds like a loud knocking noise. This could easily be a cat at the door wanting in to use the liter box. So we were also able to debunk the door knocking. Is this place haunted? We don't know for sure. While we caught some evp's, we have no substantial evidence to prove that it's haunted.

Bijou Cinemas
Our first visit to the Bijou Cinemas was on Halloween day 2009. The staff member we talked to said that she has never felt or seen anything there, but many people have always said that the building is haunted. Being in our home town, we wanted to get in there and check it out for ourselves. What we know of the building, is that it was first a church in the early 1900's, and then in the mid 1900's it was a funeral home, where they held funerals, etc. Not a lot happened during our first visit there. Though we did catch quite a few evps. Some of which were in theater two, where they used to keep the bodies when it was a funeral home. We were invited to come back to the theater during the night time, so of course, we went back. The night was pretty slow, but eventually, we got something. In theater one behind the screen, there is an organ that no longer works. Nobody has ever heard it do anything. But when one of our investigators was asking questions, this organ started chiming in response to the questions asked. When the staff member heard these, she was very excited and asked to been shown the organ. This is the best response we have ever received during an investigation. The recording of this can be found on our evps page (even though it's technically not an evp, as we could hear it with our own ears). We also caught some evps that night. In my opinion, something is there. What or who is there though, we do not know. We've been asked to come back early next year, and we can't wait. This has been a great place to investigate!
