TV Monitor/DVR and Surveillance Cameras:
We use these two pieces of equipment together, and they make up the core of our command center. The surveillance cameras will be placed in various rooms where there's claims of apparitions, items moving, or anything else visual. The camera's are night vision, and have a range of 50 feet. Our tech manager will sit at the command center most of the night and watch the live feed from all cameras, so that if anything happens in one of the rooms, the investigators will know where the activity (if any) is at, and will know to go there. The video does not only play live, but records onto the DVR, so it can be thoroughly reviewed at a later time after the investigation.

Toshiba Satellite A215-S7416 Laptop:
This laptop is used for evidence review after an investigation. We have various audio programs installed that we use to listen to audio gathered during investigations. We can also use those programs to filter those audio files if needed to better hear any possible evps. Photos from the digital cameras are also transferred onto this laptop where they are reviewed and stored.

Sony HandyCam:
The sony HandyCam's are very similar to the DVR camera's in the fact that they are night vision, and can see in the dark. We use these portable video cameras for a few different things. When needed, we can set them up on tripods in a room just like we would the dvr surveillance cameras. When they are not needed in rooms, we will use these cameras to carry around with us during an investigation to document the happenings, and it can then later be reviewed.

Sony Cyber-shot & Canon Powershot:
These cameras are simply digital cameras to take photos with. Our investigators will usually carry these around with them during an investigation to take photos in hopes of catching something. Sometimes paranormal teams will get photos with 'orbs' in them, and consider these paranormal. However, it is all too common to get 'orbs' from dust, moister, bugs, and many other things. So we do not consider these to be paranormal, and usually skip over them. The sony cybershot camera is a normal digital camera, while the Canon Powershot has an infrared filter to expand on the different spectrum's we can see into with these photos.

Digital Voice Recorders:
We use digital voice recorders for EVP sessions. EVP stands for 'electronic voice phenomenon'. Voice recorders will sometimes pick up voices that are not heard with the ear, so we will use these to ask questions, and see if we get a response. Later after the investigation, we will put the audio files onto the laptop, and closely review them to see if anything was picked up that we didn't hear at that time.

Wireless Audio:
The wireless audio is very similar to the Digital voice recorders in the way that it can pick up unheard voices or EVPS. We will hook this into a computer that is at the command center, and put the wireless microphone in an area that has claims of voices. This audio is played live through the computer, so that our tech manager at the command center can listen to it live during the investigation, and let the team know if anything suspicious is heard. It is also saved to the computer so it can be carefully reviewed after the investigation.

Digital Thermometers:
Our investigators will sometimes carry these Digital Thermometers with them during investigations. They can measure the temperature in a room, and are used to see if there is any sudden drop or rise in temperature. It is sometimes said that when a 'ghost' is present, the temperature will drop due to the entity drawing energy. When this happens, it let's us know to do an EVP session, or to take pictures.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) Detectors:
One theory among Paranormal Investigators is that a Ghost or entity will draw energy from electronics, which is called an EMF or Electro-Magnetic Field, to try and manifest itself or manipulate objects. We use these meters to detect this. When we go into an investigation, we will first take these through the building, and gather a base-line reading of each room. Electronics, wires, outlets and many other man made object will put off an electro-magnetic field, and this is where that base-line reading usually comes from. If at anytime during an investigation these meters spike (go up), it means that the EMF in that area has risen, and could possibly be an entity drawing energy. And like with a temperature drop/rise, we will know to take photos or do an evp session.

K-2 Meter:
This piece of equipment is still very new to the paranormal community, and is still in the experimental stage. It is very similar to the EMF Detectors. Although instead of showing numbers, or using a needle, it has colored lights. The more lights that light up, means the higher the EMF is. I have also noticed that it can pick up on radio frequencies, as when we key up our two way radios, the lights will light up. So that is one thing to take into consideration when working with this device. Some paranormal teams will use this meter to try and communicate with ghosts. Asking the ghost to light up two lights for yes, and 1 light for no as they ask questions. It is still very new to us, and still very experimental.

Cobra Micro Talk Two-Way Radios:
These two way radios, or 'walkie-talkies' are always on our investigators, as well as at our command center. Keeping in contact with the rest of the team and the command center is very important, especially in larger areas. If our tech manager at the command center thinks he see's or or hears something, he can let the team in that specific area know. It's also a great way to know exactly where everyone is at all times.
